Thousands Throng Komuravelli Temple On New Year Day

Hyderabad: A large number of devotees thronged the Sri Mallikharjuna Swamy temple at Komuravelli on Wednesday. Devotees from various parts of the State poured into the temple village to have darsha of the presiding deity.

Temple officials said some more than 20,000 devotees from all parts of the State rushed to the temple of Sri Mallikharjuna Swamy at Komuravelli. On the first day of the New Year 2025 devotees from Cherial, Siddipet, Husnabad, Gajwel, Jangaon, Lachchannapet, Karimnagar and other places poured into Komuravelli for darshan of the Lord Mallanna.

After bathed in the tank near the temple, the devotees rushed towards the queues and waited for hours to have holy darshan of Lord Mallikharjuna Swamy.

Some of the devotees performed archanas, special pujas, offering of hair, Nazar, Mahamandapam, Chilukapatnam, Bonam and coconuts.
